they're Gone

they're Gone

A Poem by NessaJO

I can feel them around me all the time.
I can hear them speaking to me,
Torturing me, telling me to do this.
Now I lie here crying and bleeding.
For the fear of death is at my door.
My lungs collapse, my eyes close.
My body is lying there it has no breath,
No life,no warmth.
My soul is swallowed up inside of
The darkness.I'm in their territory now.
The lost whispers of them surround me.
They push and pull at me, they rip my
Skin from the bone.  I just want to live
Again!
My eyes open and I'm lying on the
Floor of my room.  Time has not changed,
The only thing I hear is silence.  What sweet
Release, they're gone.
