The first true love will always remain a love

First loves make big impacts,

I know you did to me,

When you left I wasn’t fazed,

But I never knew that I couldn’t escape ye.

So young when you left,

We weren’t even out of school,

Then little Liam transferred in,

And he seemed like the perfect tool.

I feel for him head on,

And it took me a while,

But this affection was only for one reason,

And that was for the smile.

Behind the smile though was not good,

You were just like every other,

I dropped you like a brick,

In search for another

Dylan was next,

Only because he was funny,

But that was a mistake,

For I always was hurt when he called her Honey.

They all had that something,

Drew with the blonde hair,

Drake with the blue eyes,

And not to forget Xavier with memories that we share.

I gave up on them all,

Not ever knowing why,

Then one day it came,

The answer that fell from the sky.

Rain slid down my face with the tears,

When I realized the truth,

They all reminded me of him,

Which led me to cry with much uncouth.

To this day I haven’t seen him,

I need to tell him what’s true,

I need to find him quickly,

Before someone else to him says ‘I love you.’

Author's Note

I still haven't told him how I feel, and I don't think I can truly move on until I do. I don't want people to make the same mistake I did, so this may sound mushy, but tell him how you feel.

tell him. it'll clear your heart. i know you may doubt yourself, the impact to your relationship, and your ability to do so, but forget all of that and tell him... he needs to know. what if hes feeling the same? :)) love knows no bounds, girl. :))
