A Poem by Nery Loo

My tongue and lips wish to betray me
like a dam and the overflowing river, can't contain it
Mouth full of truth full of lies, full of never will be
diseased and cursed
if the dam gives will you give a damn
sew them shut, cut out my tongue, hold it in just a while longer
a while turns to days, days to weeks, weeks to months, an unavoidable millennia
restless spirits that can't be contained, just like that river overflowed.
what good did silence do?
was it worth it never knowing?
was their happiness worth your undoing?
repent, withhold, withdraw
