Wrong

Wrong

A Poem by Neronine
"

I screwed up.

"

He watched her, eyes gentle and loving but in his heart he knew she wasn't his. No matter how much she told him "I love you." or "I'm yours." It didn't matter. Nothing would matter after her... His heart swelling, fighting back the tears forming in his eyes, blurring his vision. Pull the trigger... let it be over.

Very sad, and painful emotions here in such a good poem. Even though it's short it has a lot of powerful meaning. Good job!

This poem leaves so many quesetons and what if's that it makes you think about it more. I like it, because it makes it more relatable for your readers to be able to fill in the blanks as it suits them.

I don't understand why he knew she would never be his when she told him I love you and I'm yours. Is it maybe, because her heart lies elsewhere? Nevermind, I think I'd prefer to use my imagination on this one. I love poems that give me the chance to use my imagination. Great job. I really liked it.
