This is my first attempt at writing. This poem is based on my real life experience.

It’s infatuation, they say.
You are too young to understand love, they say.
He is elder to you, they say.
And to this I say , You are wrong. Being 16 doesn’t mean I can’t fall in love and who cares if he is elder to me.
But when they say, he has already fallen for someone else, they are right.
I wonder what’s wrong with me. Too fat or too dark for him?
I question myself when ever I see him on Facebook or Instagram.
But today I realized that this is how one sided love feels like. The most painful yet the most beautiful feeling in the world. And no I am not ugly for him it’s just that she is the love of his life and I accept it.
You are crazy, they now say.
And to this I say, not crazy just a matured version of my old self and a happy victim of one sided love.
