The Fear of Death

The Fear of Death

A Poem by Nerdy_Gal214
"

I wrote this poem when I was annoyed about not being able to wrap my mind around why people die.

"

The Fear of Death

I don't get it

I don't understand

Why God takes loved ones away

With the clap of His hands

If He loves us,

Why would He do it

I wouldn't want to make that decision alone

So He needs loved ones to take home

This isn't goodbye, I'll tell you that now

It's just a "see ya later" connected to a bow

When we drift off to Heaven one night,

There will be no fright

No fright of death or goodbyes or loved ones disappeared

Just God, you, and me with no fear
