The Abyss of time

The Abyss of time

A Poem by Ghania
"

The untraceable route to Sialkot.

"
The feeling is sublime
but the Heart bleeds;
Holding the parts into a prime
the soul waits,
It feels like a crime.

My Masochist waits,
Waits for the dysfunctional ways:
Ways to destroy.
Walls of love: deteriotate.

Breaking the toy.
All the happenings:
Immeasurable.
Unfathomable.
Restricted.
Untraceable.

And I wait.
For this to end.
This time.
Ah~ the abyss of time.

Being a lover of vocabulary, I especially love the way you reach deep to find interesting words that convey layers of meaning, instead of the more simple terms some writers reach for. In stanza 2, the three long "d" words sound so good together, plus these words are packed with powerful meaning & also lend some alliteration to your writing. I also like the way you pick a word such as "masochist" that says so much, you don't have to ramble on to get your point across, so it sounds a little bit like shorthand writing, so brief & impactful (which is what I prefer) . . . hope your holiday season is an enjoyable one for you & your loved ones (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

So powerful, so profoundly moving, this journey of you, this expanse of light through time. It is tender yet fierce, it is painful and vast in every breath in every line. I so deeply appreciate you sharing your journeys with us.
