To My Mother, Whom I Love Dearly

To My Mother, Whom I Love Dearly

A Poem by Jamie Charbonneau
"

A Re-Add from before the great Writer's Cafe wipe...

"

I am not Yours
flesh blood bone
     yes
all gifts, pieces of you
but like all gifts we give
they are not ours,
I am not yours

Gifts
from a soldier to a hippie
          Christian to witch
Your face as both
Your face
          as mine
In the mirror every morning
living a life you loathe

Even you have said it
I
Am
Not
yours

By the sound of this, Merry Meet. Very well writen on explaining how you love you mom, but you are your own person, needing to follow your own path. Well done.
