Serene

Serene

A Poem by Shane William

Brown eyes recede in space
Medallion catches the light
The moon speaks in riddles
When it meets that stare
Its glow paints the canvas
Of that floating hair
They say its something higher than art
But I don't care
I just want to watch

Fire flies decorate a window
Lined up along the sections divide
Emotions confined to silloutted boxes
The fire spreads as the wind blows

Brown eyes seen again
In day's cruel light
Guilt spilt 'cross the locket
Rusting a hopeful heart
Red rays bleed across a bed
They say its something higher than art
But I don't care
I can't bare to look
