A Poem by Shane William
"

Maybe I'm the pretentious one. Oh well, okay...

"
Pose a little diction
but spare me the fiction
you look pretty
pressed in a book...
that unbearable pretentious look
Add up the cards left to play
so what can I say
Oh well, okay...
Stop for a spell
what the hell,
take a shot in the dark
and leave a question mark
Compliment the classics
though...tear out the pages
paper plane the windows,
and critique the ages
Come,
visit our glass house,
put on a smile
compile the rights and wrongs
of our modern style
Tear the moon in half-
cleverness is a fashion
so excuse the passion...
Watch the dying day
what can I say?
you speak your politiks
oh well, okay...
