MemoriesA Poem by NeoGen87About rejection and wanting acceptance.
I hope you can hear me,
There is just too much to erase, There is too much for time to ease. Everyday I feel the pain, And this notion has left me hollow. Am I but a remnant? Or was I only just a figment... Even though I gave you my heart, You gave me ice, My desire had enough fire. Would you turn back time and give me that chance? Cause I would've fought for you, And I would've died for you. Cause all I wanted was your everything. I remember your face, And I still remember your embrace. I don't want our memories to be replaced. And now that it's over, I don't know if I want your answer. And I don't care if ain't fair, But I need to put down your timepiece... Even though I had bared my heart to you, You turned a blind eye, And now everything has gone awry. Would you go back and give me a double take? Cause I would've fought for you, And I would've died for you. Cause all I wanted was your everything. I know these words may fall on deaf ears, I may not have always been there, But I never walked out. And all you ever had to do, Was to just say my name. Now that our paths lead us separate ways, Just don't stop smiling for the rest of your days. © 2016 NeoGen87 |
