RememberA Poem by NeoGen87Here's one way to say goodbye.
Do you remember when we first met?
I remember a silhouette. Just the ghost of a shell. I thought I knew you in a click. But from the beginning you had me all in a wreck. Like a poison covered by a cherry blossom. Just waiting to play Russian Roulette. How can I be the best when i was the worst? How can I be two wholes? When all I ever was, was just a half? And in plain sight you hide six feet away. In the shadows you stood by and watched it all. With all emotions set aside, In a silent whisper you said goodbye. With all that time spent on your own, Do you really know what its like to be alone? With forked words of honey, You had stolen what I worked for. With false promises held high, I remained idly by. And like a mask, you never were who you said you were. How can I be the best when I was the worst? How could we be together, When you had already said your adieu? I was just the jester with a broken crown. Just a toy to be thrown around. With all emotions set aside, In a silent whisper you said goodbye. The sands of time have come and pass. You rise six feet with flames anew. You ask to start again with a thousand apologies. But I remember everything. This time I see it all for what it really is. And now it's my turn to say my adieu. C'est la vie, adios, goodbye and good riddance! © 2015 NeoGen87Author's Note
