It's The Same Night

It's The Same Night

A Poem by Sleepless Dreamer
"

Sleepless Again, my mind is running away

"
You know those times, Right?
The ones where you can't sleep at night,
Your head won't stop, it's flowing
and you can't stay still, the thoughts are growing.
You need an escape, but you can't stop from noticing
the shadows are creeping in, they're floating
right above your head, they're consuming you.
Everyone you've lost or letdown, making you rue.
I can't stop having those nights.
They're making me feel that I have made no rights.
I'm losing my mind
I'm losing my mind
and that's how I go
my mind breaks it's flow
I drift off to sleep
with the tears still on my cheek.
I'm sorry.

Is that an apology to yourself? Did you accept it? Splendid writing......you captured the consequences of insomnia well :)

If you can replace "its" with "it is" then it needs an apostrophe. Such as in your title. :-)

That's the only rule for "its". Keep up the writing, and I hope you get to sleep.
