Black and White

Black and White

A Poem by Sleepless Dreamer
"

I wrote this with water coming out of my face so I'm sorry if it's bad I was going through a rough patch. Posting things from my collection

"

Sometimes I wonder

"Will life get any better?"

That's when I remember, that black and white sweater.

Years of wearing, wearing it down

it's been worn down and passed around.

like a codec of life, my memories.

 Beaten and washed

tossed and turned

forgotten and given

but always forgiving

The things It's seen the things it's done

the pain it's been through

the battles it's won

The way it's been lost, trapped in darkness.

Nothing and nobody looking or asking

just sitting waiting for a moment.

the life it's gone through is a tragic one, yet it still manages to continue.

It sees the fact that it's cared for, it's important to someone.

Life gets hard but you gotta always find something to fight for

since at the end of the day there's always something to look up to.

There's always a light at the end of the tunnel

how soon you reach it depends

on how fast you run.

and that's why when I ask myself

"Will life get any better?"

I remember that;  Old, tattered, wrinkled, forgotten, found, loved, cared for, Black and White Sweater
