Fooled

Fooled

A Poem by NemoNelson

My stomach flips

My heart thunders

And all I can think is why.

My eyes lock with yours

My breath stops short

For just a second as you walk by

It's been a few months

Since the night that we fought

And now I'm being forced to think of you

I thought I would live

Since you were gone

I really believed we were through

Now you've come back

I can hardly believe

You are a ghost from my scariest dream

Now I know I can't trust

When the world says I'm safe

I refuse to believe things are what they seem

WoW a little twist there in what seemed like a happy little poem of love and desire. Sometimes dreams are better than reality when it meets you ace to face. Good structure and flow with appropriate expectations in each line. Than the twist bad girl ...lol l iked it !
