LostA Poem by NemoNelson
It’s dark here
And so cold… I’ve been here for so long, Alone, aside from the rushing faces Faces that look like nothing, That say nothing, Hear nothing. But now there’s a stranger. He’s like me, alone and lost He tries to talk to the rushing faces “Where am I?” “What is this place?” “You’re in Hell” I answer “At least, that’s what I think it is.” He looks scared. Like I used to be. This place is far more than that More than a place… It’s so many places at once. It’s the bottom of the ocean It’s the top of the world… This place is an empty hole and a crowded room. We need to get out. So we search And we search Until we come across a door Through the door we can see light And we can hear the sounds of people This door leads out This door can be our escape But in order to leave, We must first leave each other I can't do it, and he won't He promised he would never leave But he does He never loved me, never cared He gave me up in an instant I loved him, but now he’s gone It’s dark here And so cold I’m a rushing face… I look like nothing… I say nothing, hear nothing. © 2011 NemoNelsonReviews
