Foolish Girl

Foolish Girl

A Poem by NemoNelson

Foolish girl.

You run around with a taped-on smile, promising your heart to everyone and no one. Your eyes hide more than they know, but try as they might, nothing will set your secrets free. You use a paintbrush to cover the truth, then sit and wonder why no one cares enough to was it off.

Stupid girl.

You fall in love with the people who don’t love you back. You give your heart away to those who smash it, tear it and break it, but never return it to you. Though you deny that you have a problem, deep down you know it’s there. Deep down, all you want is someone who tell you it’ll all be okay. Someone to care. But no one ever will, silly girl. No one ever will.

Very real and true. The way that you give just the right amount of sympathy and bite to actually make this girl realize how foolish and blind she really is. And the way that you describe that way that she uses everything for her own good looking ways in order to try for that next 'perfect one' is just vivid and real.

Very good write! many people can relate to this poem too. Sometimes people look for love with the wrong kind of people. this was very sad and full of good emotion.
