Freedom

Freedom

A Poem by Somethingintheway
"

Rebeling against a governments terrible laws despite severe consequences.

"
Live across the grain
I cant make you tame
Choice is yours not mine
Fair not fun this time

Reach out and cut the cord
We just wait with swords
Die revive again
I cannot pretend

Due to court the fines
Now your in a bind
Little do you know
It's the secret foe

Privacys just a thought
Poverty is taught
Mouth sewn shut still speaks
I will work for weeks

So many things encroach on our freedoms and so many things can take it away...A splendid read and write...:)

Like your poem. From my reading it seems to start about freedom and end with submission; I wonder what you'd think of it if you flopped the poem - moving the first two stanzas to the end? Just a thought...
