Self-inflicted cycle

Self-inflicted cycle

A Poem by Somethingintheway
"

Poem about bad choices.

"
Unravel me in this dream
Reality disowns me it seems
What is my clandestine fate
thoughts burn don't want to create

One big mistake no way out
I feel I'm stuck circling this route
By the time I finally escape
This desolate story will have taken shape

Crave the sweetness of bitterness
Speaking fluent of great ignorance
Stuck in a prison where I hold a key
Elixir of life pump through me

Caressed by the night shadow the day
Eyes once bright now only grey
Decipher the code you will fail
Many have tried now they are frail
