Something I could never say

Something I could never say

A Poem by Masked writer
"

To a family member

"
Something I wish to say
And its not that your the one to blame
The way you drink it gives away
That when we fight its not the same
And I think to myself...
Is this how i'll remember you?
Down to drink, but ready to frown?
Drinkin and dancin, when everyones around
Yet you sit on the couch when no ones around
The words you speak, they are so loud
sometimes when you're here...
im wishin you weren't around
Sometimes, somenight it feels like you'll drown
Whisky or crown it doesnt matter
you'll down and down one shot after another
Im not complaining
Hell sometimes its fun
To just let go...Relax the mind
Think everythings fine, just for one night?
I wished thats how it worked
In the real life, real time...
So just think maybe one day
we'll be alright
or atleast a little bit fine

Hello Maynard, living with a heavy drinker or one addicted to alcohol is life on a roller coaster. One day the life and soul of the party, the next …. least said the better. You describe a situation I know something about from a former life. Pleased that’s in the past.

Dear, Masked Writer,
the poem-prose, is something where when life catches up to us,
the innocence-naiveness gullys down. Great write!

Most Welcome, :P, ----Maynard
When one partner drink too much and the mood changes, it’s very difficult for the other one, when they live together or not…. Drinking can create anger and other behaviors that are unpleasant… we can only hope their behavior changes for the batter, at least some of the time…it’s easy to become an enabler with a habit such as this…..nice write!

Whoever that is about, it's not just about substance abuse. That is an addictive personality co-morbid with undefined personality disorder. Run away from that at all costs. If you can. It's hard to do with family. Or if it's yourself. If it's the latter... it might be time for change. Or not... I don't know. Take everything I say like you would a tv show.
