Would You, Will You

Would You, Will You

A Poem by Nelyn Salvaleon

If you had no one to talk to,
Would you let me talk to you?
If you had no one to cling to,
Would you let me cling to you?

If you had known me before her,
Would you treasure me the way you treasure her?
If you had seen me falling for you,
Would you catch me as you did when she fell for you?

If you have no one to talk to,
Will you let me talk to you?
If you have no one to cling to,
Will you let me cling to you?

If you haven't met her,
Will you take the time to find me?
If you haven't loved her,
Will you be able to love me?

Gentle asking, smiling softly - a dear heart searching for the one she hoped for. And just maybe the one in mind should say 'yes' because: life takes, life offers . sometimes best to say 'yes' when time's in sync and meant to be! A beautiful write, Nelyn.
