Taylor

Taylor

A Poem by Nelyn Salvaleon

I was in the middle of writing something,
But then I heard your voice over the radio.
I stopped and listened to your iconic song.
I've always been like this every time I hear your voice.
I stop so I can listen to you attentively.

I was in the middle of writing something,
But then I saw your face on TV.
I stopped and looked at you from every angle.
I've always been like this every time I see your face.
I stop so I can look at you intently.

I was in the middle of writing something,
But then I heard someone shouting your name.
I stopped and looked at someone who screamed your name.
I've always been like this every time I hear someone shouting your name.
I stop so I can look at someone who calls me by your name.

Now I'm writing to explain
Why someone sometimes calls me "Taylor"
Instead of my name.
It's not because I look like you,
But because I'm addicted to you.

Thank you so much 😊
"Taylor" is the empowering voice of generation that is becoming of age. Her humanity, confidence, character, and personal strength ...inspire others to be the best they can be. Addicted? - no... empowered by - YES!
