Girl in Blue

Girl in blue,
Are you feeling blue?
The way your eyes look, I just know
You feel blue.

Girl in blue,
You don't have to say you're fine all the time.
You just have to be true,
'Cause it's okay to say you feel blue.

Girl in blue,
Let your ears hear the beat of your heart.
Let your mouth say what your heart wants to say.
And let your nose smell the scent of hope,
For tomorrow you'll be the girl in blue, but not feeling blue.

Author's Note

This poem advises us to just be true to ourselves. If you feel sad, you're free to say you're sad. You don't have to pretend you're okay if you're not. Just don't lose hope despite the bad feeling you have right now. You probably feel bad today (maybe as bad as yesterday), but don't lose hope because tomorrow will be the day of your victory.
I wore blue t-shirt when I wrote this, that's why I was able to rhyme the color of my dress with the colloquial term "blue" which means sad.

I was feeling blue,
but I no longer do
after visiting You;
my words are true.

That you write such a lovely, flowing words of bright imagery, of inspiring hope, and in the way you express that we should not worry when we're sad and blue, because there is always sunshine waiting behind every cloud to cheer our spirits, exemplifies just how beautiful and giving your own heart is.
