Smiling Thief in the Night

Smiling Thief in the Night

A Poem by NellyDreams

Stress appeared with a smiling face
Giving my success a on-going chase
That serves me nothing nice
Leaving me in the middle of the night
Without happiness in sight
I dream of making it where I hope to be
On the top of my game, lifted from all the shame
With less than a month to conclude
to plan C, bills kicking my wallet like a flat plastic ball
Ending up with nothing but faith to strengthen
My push and having no drive to steer
My tank is on E,
so how am I going to make it to the next level?
When the world is beating me up on my left and right,
then a verse comes to my mind and I look upto the hills
Which cometh my help and sing,
"You can make it, You can make it"
and send the smiling thief knowing that I still have Joy!
