Hear It From Someone Who Licks Windows

Hear It From Someone Who Licks Windows

A Poem by NGenieL
"

A letter of sorts, to someone who suffers alongside me.

"

Hear It From Someone Who Licks Windows

Take it from me,

You're doing alright.

Meager words, coming from a girl,

who still sees monsters at night.

This, coming from me,

to a girl who throws food out of the pram.

from a girl who craves The Healthy Sweets,

that you can have, but I never can.

Listen to me,

You're still f*****g young.

You've got years to find happiness

and peace and a home.

When you get angry,

the earth moves and birds fly south

and it makes me shake

But I promise you, we're not falling out.

When I get scared,

waves crash and drag me backwards

with a force of a God's hand

clutching me tighter than Mother's hugs ever could.

There's no hope for me,

Except for dreaming of your Big Day

when you throw the towel in and sigh

Because it was killing you anyway

Hear it from me,

I lick windows.

How you ever survived my rage

I'm not sure I want to know.
