For the girlA Poem by SamShe is a vision Of Hell on Earth, The depths of her soul Make hades look weak. Eyes bluer than sky, Hair straighter than pins, Body built like the strongest twig.
Like a modern day Daisy Miller, The girl is bound to die Not from age, but foolishness, Leaving a trail of broken hearts From the city to the cemetery.
She is a girl ablaze With cool indifference Trying to put out the fire Of fear, doubt, and normalcy.
She never understands why She’s so loved yet so alone As she sits behind her wall, An intimidating ten feet Of impenetrable stone.
She is a lesson That no one wants to learn, But I have learned. © 2013 SamReviews
