The Devil's Den

The flames, do you see them? (31)

Flames, huge flames (32)

An infernal heat was rising (33)

Under penalty of death (11)

[And] face-to-face with the Angel of Death (34)

Children [were] thrown into the flames (32)

Targets for the machine guns (6)

Like cattle in the slaughterhouse (31)

[They] shot their prisoners (6)

[Who were] forced to offer their necks (6)

Could this be just a nightmare? (31)

Victims, injured and in need of help (BA1, 2)

[Could not] process the horror in front of them (LS3)

They think I’m mad (7)

Hostile faces, hate-filled stares (12)

Faces of hell and death (19)

I began to hate them (19)

Look at the fire! Look at the flames! (28)

Run! (36)

Unconscious (BA1)

Shut down (LS3)

[From] genocide or the street beatings (LS2)

Never shall I forget (34)

The smell of burning flesh (28)
[The] crazed men, [the] shouting, [the] brutality (34)

My soul had been invaded "and devoured- by a black flame (37)

[A] thick smoke that poisoned the air (37)

[And] stung the throat (37)

Never shall I forget that night (34)

Two steps from the pit (34)

The pit and its flames (33)

Why did I not act? (BA6, 6)
