My humans

I’ve been looking

Carefully maybe

Looking at people 

Wondering where it all began

Wondering how we have “evolved”

Wondering where it will end

I was confused 

When did we become 

So absorbed 

We used to be humans

But now we are just people

Where did we miss

Where did the chemistry go wrong

Was it all meant to be

Or did we all just stop?

I was looking 

And when I remembered 

We were humans

And liked to talk

We survived in harmony 

And less in variance

I am sorry if that sounds

Unreal

But if you look really near

You will see it too

How we have stopped converging

And rather prefer to diverge

Don’t misunderstand me 

I too like to be alone

But when I come out of my solitude 

I would love to hear from you too

How do we go back

Or rather

Stay together?

I would like to have someone

To talk 

Or maybe just remember

In this fast-paced world

Rather than dissolve nameless

I would love to call some people 

My humans and some my own.
