One day

We will not require words

To convey our feelings

One day

Our I love yous will be reduced to once a day

One day

All that will be needed

Is a small glance

Amongst a multitude of people

A small smile when love is mentioned

A slight touch of hand

Just to convey the infinite depth of our love

One day

Now,

Till that one day comes

I’ll say a thousand I love you

Till that day arrives

I’ll show that you matter the most

I’ll find you in the crowd of million beautiful faces

One day

Till it comes

I’ll make sure to take all the steps

That’ll make that one day possible

And finally when that day comes,

I’ll smile and cry altogether

Cause after that day

Love will be

Just you and me!

As love grows perhaps one needs to say "I love yous" many times over, but at the special day, perhaps a wedding, then at the alter you need only say "I love you once", with a hug and and a kiss... real love has many pieces that get put together, touches, smiles, waves, kisses, etc... it's not only words that define love....nice poem

This one describes an ideal situation when mutual love will be communicated by even the slightest gestures. Then it acknowledges that ongoing reminders are needed until that time arrives. That has been my experience. You really can't take anything for granted.
