Right / wrong

Right / wrong

A Poem by supernova_thoughts

What is right?
What is wrong?
How do you know?
When to stop?
Is there a line I can’t see?
Or is it that I’ve already crossed it?
How do I know when to turn?
Where to turn is what I am sure of.

The pillar of my strength
Is what I’m sure of
The One who sustains,
Is who I’m sure of
I can be wrong
I can be right
Be HE is always right
Is what I’m sure of
I wanted a journey
That is much simpler

I wanted a path
That is less confusing
Now I am here
And I can say
I was meant to be here
But who am I to decide that?
Where should or shouldn’t I be?

Truth be told
I am glad that I hold
And glad that I’m sure
Of my Lord who I can lean on
I can be wrong
I can be right
But who am I
To decide?

If you have HIM in your life you can’t go wrong as long as you have faith in HIM. I like this poem. It makes one think of their own path and where it leads. I believe our mistakes are part of the learning process and, I know that HE will not let us makes mistakes we cannot recover from. I enjoyed the read. Temp

I agree dear poet.
"I can be wrong
I can be right
But who am I
To decide?"
The above lines are true. I believe. We must tried, at least. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.

You are welcome my friend.
In the end, all you can do is your best and let the chips fall where they may. The right course is not always evident on the surface. That is why we must learn to go within.

True! Thank you for stopping by, John!
the cost of free will is insecurity and uncertainty many will prey upon these things and dictate his intentions to you like a handbook (often for the sake of greed & control) but a second gift we are given with free will is our ability to observe these two things are essential ingredients to our sentience they cannot exist without the other for it is up to us to hear the truth and act accordingly therein is our responsibility and our burden:/ nicely penned lines!

The truth is what's right. And since that is not a decision we need only follow our hearts in the right direction. Your heart took you there, and it reads in your poem.

I’m not a believer, but I would say that you can’t go wrong if you’re with HIM, as he is your savior, and you don’t have to make any decisions…this was your fate, fortunate for you….
Ice write!

You're very welcome!
this could be a love poem but also have religious undertones.
If we respect ourselves and others in life....the Him will love us back...
and also others we want to love us...they will too.
Love comes back to us in one way or another.
it just does.

Yes we all need Him our God in our lives
Hopefully He will return one day and take us with him. The way things are right now in the world soon would be good

Thank you for stopping by!
A poem of strong faith. I envy that. Mine sort of flew out the window and hasn't returned. May you always have your faith to fall back on in times of darkness as well as joy supernova.

"The pathway to salvation is as narrow and as difficult to walk as a razor's edge." That quote came to mind when reading your poem. I think with most religions there's this unattainable balance that can't be won. But if the being in your poem is the one I'm thinking of, then there is forgiveness, transformation. Right and wrong are not concepts to worry over, but concepts to consider when on the path. Good work.
