Ran to HIM

He still cares!

I’m shut down

My thought’s not working

There is too much to collect

And too little to pay attention

I’m empty

Yet I feel full

What is this feeling?

Grace!

I cannot define it

Yet I can feel

How wonderfully blessed

Is my heart within.

It was broken and shattered

Still He picked

This broken vessel

And filled me till brink

I don’t understand how

But I think

I can get used to this feeling

Of satisfaction within

‘Cause I’ve felt what was inside

I know how dark it can be

And when my heart found truth

It ran to Him

He came to me in darkness

And showed me the way

My heart had many cracks

Still it stayed

Glowing brightly

With life again

What a beautiful poem you have written here my friend. It brought a tear to my eyes. It is absolutely awesome. To me GRACE is the same as MERCY. HIS unmerited favor. I have heard that the greatest gift you can give someone is your time. When you are lost and confused, you made the right choice to take the TIME to Run to HIM. I agree with Jacob, this poem has multi meanings, but for me it stood out as one of strong religious belief. If that can lead a person out of darkness and into the light, then that has to be good. Nicely penned.

I like the double meaning here....there are religious undertones in this but also finding love later in life when we feel it will never come again.
Broken vessels can be put back together...there are some pretty strong glues out there...and love is one of them.
