A Poem by supernova_thoughts
"

Just my own perspective.

"
Funny
How we just believe
Believe what is in front?
Funny
How we disapprove
Of something
Something that gets out of our way

As years pass by
We pass down our tradition
And with those
Our belief

For us
Our system works like that
Where everything around us
Shines just the same amount
The amount our eyes are used to
Till now

Now,
I don’t say that’s bad
I just
Would like to discontinue that
Rather I would love to
Squint my eyes just a little more
To have a glance
To a brighter world
Traditions are gold
But restrictions are not
I think
Now, right now
I’m old enough
To build my own
Rules

I know
There will come a time
When my time will pass
I would recommend my lineage
To have their own built world.

Let people think for themselves and not be led by traditions and prejudice. Just because something has been done or thought of in a particular way does not mean that it is right. I think all of us should question as much as possible before we come to conclusions. You know as I get older I certainly hope that I become wiser. This is where you took me supernova. Thanks for posting.

"Traditions are gold but restrictions are not" is a very true quote. It's not always good to do things people want. We should decide not them. People often act as "While in Rome, do as the Romans do" and I don't appreciate this thought.
Thanks for sharing it.

My pleasure!
Tradition can be supportive, but it can also become restrictive. What is good for one generative may not be so for its successor. Thus we have to examine our own traditions to see what is empowering us and what is holding us back. As the speaker here says, there comes a time when we are old enough to make our own rules.

Yes, it's not always necessary to have the same walls. Thank you for stopping by, John. Great day!

check first line, second stanza.
But Oh, if only squinting would work now...the world is so dark with all that is happening.
we do need some golden moments...
and as far as aging...I am there now...at that point where "I'm old enough/ to build my own /Rules"
I don't have to please others anymore...and it does feel pretty damn good.
I like this write, mucho!
