It’s been a parade of thoughts

Thoughts that are bold and dangerous

Thoughts that are inspiring and fresh

Thoughts of grief, of losing someone

And, thoughts of being grateful for what is there left of me in abundance

There are times

I would just like to give up

And there are other times

I would be grateful for the simple pleasures of life

It is said

“What you believe is what becomes of you.”

But what can you believe

When everything seems just a fiction of imagination

When all you think in one moment, becomes your truth and then everything else seems a lie.

You start spiraling around the spring and there seems to be no end to it.

What do you do then?

What can you believe?

You see

There are at times in life

When what you believe is completely shifted

With a new set of possibility

What do you do then?

I used to think, and by this I mean it’s just one of my perspectives

And that I don’t intend to be very wise.

I used to think that what I believe and what I know is what makes my world

Yet, when everything seems falling apart

I don’t know where my truth abounds.

Still,

In my deepest and lowest part

I know one thing right

In this supernova of my thoughts

In the deepest core of it

One where it is either black or white

There stays a truth

One that I cannot change

One that surrounds me

That is

I am safe.

And truly loved!

This is a breathtaking piece. Wow, it says so much without being overpowering and too much. This poem captures life so beautifully, the unsureness, the deepest darkest moments mixed with the beautiful ones full of light and hope. I’m in awe how you were able to make such an important piece and somehow keep it coherent. It’s jumbled thoughts set out in a perfect, poetic way. I’ve felt that way always too- at the core of everything, I am, indeed safe. I love how you shared that message in it, it’s just such a fresh take that I’ve been wanting to see for so long.
