A Contraceptive Pill

The current trend followed by girls - In order to prevent conception, popping a pill and saving boyfriend’s bill is an insensible solution. Here is an eye-opener for my irrational pals.

 Afore falling in his arms they advice to think twice

Unregretful I act beyond my surprise

It’s the grip of a force, a force here to claim

Compelling, like a moth drawn to the flame

 

Every night encloses the heat of flaming souls

But sun kissed morning plays a wicked role

To my realization it brings an obvious question

What next to prevent conception?

 

Like always, I pop in a pill to save the bill

My guy admires the worth of a contraceptive pill

It causes side-effects. Ah! How would he know?

He enjoys the freedom of reckless show

 

Nevertheless, I look at kids and admire their innocence

Wish the pill could kill within me my maternal presence!

well....hats off!!! this really is a big menace in our country and you at least raised your voice to that. By the way, one day....that one day may be tomorrow or may be 20** god knows....there will be a single creature without gender in this globe and we will concisely responsible for that.

Excellent! I have been rolling some of these very thoughts around in my mind. Its such a tricky space to be in with complete honesty. I think you could take this piece in a few directions. Perhaps further develop those conflicting feelings when you see other children. The perspective of the unrealized mother. Just some suggestions to keep you writing. Good job!

As I was writing this piece, my pen refused to move ahead after the last line... something really stopped then! But thanks for the encouragement. I will continue from where I stopped :)
