Kiss The Sky

Kiss The Sky

A Poem by Negasi
"

Wow, this one came to me all in one go. It was easy, like I could actually write. Writer's Block is retreating? This one's about high aspirations and working for them!

"

Kiss The Sky

I wanna kiss the sky

Like blue tipped tongues

Delighted by eternal grandeur

Saved by their own significance

Keep a little pride and dignity

The rains of the future

Let them wash over me like

Meteorites and dandelions

Catch one and maybe I can

Make a little wish or something

The winds of tomorrow can

Take my breath away, leave me gasping

The scintillating pleasure of success is nearing

Just a little elbow grease and macaroni

The job's just not quite done

Flaming aspirations lit up like Christmas lights

It's like rushing down the stairs, only I'm going up

Climbing the ladder, one rung at a time

Don't look down, got my eyes on the target

Somewhere I've gotta hope my aim stays true

But I'm gonna kiss the sky

Blades of grass stained a shade of red

It's not an easy road to take

Blossoming shells, the fruits of hell

I'm going to send this plane soaring high.
