Change of Perspective

Change of Perspective

A Poem by Negasi
"

Hadn't been writing much so this was one I wrote awhile back about how I've finally had the sudden realization that things aren't beyond fixing in my life.

"

Change of Perspective

Not quite a boy, but not yet a man

Burdened with responsibility

Bouncing akin to a rubber ball

Twenty five cents in your local vending machine

The landing is never the same

Back and forth, round and round

Third times a charm, so they all say

And for once I see what's so charming

Effort is long overdue

Time to cash in on last chances

No compromise, the future is at stake

And the past is all but forgotten

Shoulders as heavy as giant's of old

Can barely support my own weight

Yet giant's were fighters, and so fight I will

This world hasn't given up on me yet

Author's Note

Negasi
Just to note, I've had really bad Writer's Block lately, so this just kind of came out as writing your consciousness onto the paper sort of thing.
