Solitude.

Solitude.

A Poem by Nefertiti Virtudes Ahmes
"

This is about a peaceful moment..a lull in chaotic minds when prayers are answered and blessings are noticed. When peace is finally felt.

"

Solitude.

Easy breathing. Easy thinking.

Thoughts slow and light.

Peaceful lazy eyes glance about.

Not a wicked thought in mind.

Inner demons put to sleep by the overwhelming power of God.

Blessed.

Deep breath. Chest filled with warmth.

Jesus watches over his children and he smiled on this one that day.

Prayers finally herd. Finally answered.

Not that there was worry.

Faith was never shaken.

Faith and love for God will never be destroyed.

Satan’s “work” will never be done - it will never be complete.

Not to a heart filled with love.

With Jesus, there’s only love and light.

With that in mind a slow smile tugged at lips.

Eyes closed - Hands gently clasped.

Silent words of thanks were sent to the heavens above.

Moments like this never forgotten.

This made me think of meditation at the start, "Easy breathing. Easy thinking. / Thoughts slow and light," and there is a connection between meditation and prayer. We are all searching for peace, and little moments like this stand out. I could feel this, but at the same time, it seems very personal, like looking in on your own relationship with the divine. Love the choice to leave "Solitude" and "Blessed" on their own lines... one seems to be necessary to receive the other, and giving them their own lines lends power to them. I've been a seeker lately, and this aligns a lot with what I've been thinking about lately. Thanks for sharing this.
