A short on how society is creating clones and how originality is scarce.

Being socially “appropriate” is the reuleaux triangle of life. 

Explicitly compared to a mouse trap. 

Different mouse - Same outcome. 

Robotic. 

Not in a futuristic way. Instead it is mechanical.

Lifeless and unfeeling.

A ply.

A cliché plot.

A scam to brainwash the minds of the innocent.

The socially acceptable were raped with the ideals of what’s right.

What’s popular. 

But it’s jocular in the face of those that didn’t allow the populous demons to kidnap their freedom.

Free thinking.

The creativity of a free soul is what keeps the world turning. 

Those who were labeled as “unacceptable” didn’t allow the well favored nontechnical widespread of this parasitic world to enwrap their minds.

They didn’t allow them to tear and claw their robotic prototype behavior in their minds.

The “socially acceptable” now dubbed as the mentally raped; walk around like clones of the simple minded ideals of the scam artists that set the bar.

In the end, being acceptable is plain. 

Ordinary. Boring.

A tedious lifestyle full of simple minded plots.

Author's Note

Think about how social media has shaped a culture of clones. Make up, body language and speech has been conformed to a 'norm'. Everyone is becoming the same.

It's not just in social media, it's a carefully constructed box in all aspects of life, even down to the speech that is deemed "safe." Your tone is great, I sense a rage against conformity that bubbles right under the surface. Safe art isn't art, you only learn boundaries and structure so you know where best to break them, you learn the lines to know where to cross them. That's real art. I like how you boil this down to the end as conforming being boring... as though, after all that anger, the thing we fear the most is being bored. I worry about that too, but also the fact that we seem to be losing our words for things, and when you can't describe it, a thing can't exist. Nice write.

Oh, what, girl? You are so right. Groupthink was always a problem in the analog world, but social media elevates it all the way to the hive mind. It kills me to think of everyone spending money they don’t have, no longer buying clothes but accumulating ‘costume’ for the gram. I was watching a show the other night that talked about exactly that.
