unheard cries

unheard cries

A Poem by Neetya
"

on the event of Peshawar

"
The cries of innocence unheard
The beats of mortal bullet echoed.
Has failed to bring peace serene bird,
By vultures now we are butchered.

The temple of learning painted
Decorated too, with blood.
Mankind worldwide daunted,
Hopes of humane humanity swept by human flood.

Gruesome menace reaches the brim,
In guilt our heads we bow.
Violence once again reaches the brim
But today nature, can we row?

Callous killers in millions' happiness pry,
How mothers moan and nations whine.
In this place where demons fly
Men on man feast and dine.

No morality is left
Towards the Doomsday as we trudge.
Monsters bury religion with deft
Build barricades, sow seeds of grudge.

The episode of Peshawar
Eternally remains a tragic nightmare.
Red hue and gory images eternally hover
Over those souls-raw and bare.

The deeds of Taliban were mean
Snatching a child's soul is sin.
Soon nature shall wean
With rage shall she face her kin.
