He Has a Plan

He Has a Plan

A Poem by Octavious
"

This is my first attempts of original lyrics of a song. :)

"
Verse one:
Look in the light,
Have you ever seen such a wonder?
Look in the light,
and take my hand,
Have you ever seen, such a beautiful sight,
the sight of God's plan?
Verse two:
Step by step,
we all come together,
Day by day, the success grows,
As we go on, and show him our love,
his tears continue to fall.
Chorus:
He has a plan to make us cross the oceans,
To lay our feet upon the ponds,
to fight through, and cross the mountains,
And now he's planing to take us home.
Verse three:
See all the children laughing?
Do you see the odd one cry?
arm by arm we rap them,
beat by beat they breath,
day by day we love them,
and become a family.
Chorus:
He has a plan to make us cross the oceans,
To lay our feet upon the ponds,
to fight through, and cross the mountains,
And now he's planing to take us home.
Bridge:
Lord, am I the one that have to choose,
I am scared of disappointing you,
Oh I know you're so tiered of playing these games with me,
with me stirring away,
farther and farther,
always come back to you, and asking me when am I going to stay?
To say with you, forever and ever, until you come back for me,
back for me Lord.
Verse four:
To fear him is all in content,
to love is all in choice,
to run away is stupid,
but he'll give you a second chance

Chorus:
He has a plan to make us cross the oceans,
To lay our feet upon the ponds,
to fight through, and cross the mountains,
And now he's planing to take us home.

Very well written my friend, I too is an aspiring songwriter and I can feel all your lyrics of hope and in defiance to still have fate to the back sliders and to the none believers. "To fear him is all in content, to love is all in our choice, to run away is stupid, but he'll give you another chance" such powerful verse! we are lucky to have such a forgiving GOD, but why do we still take it for granted? Thanks for sharing"

Oh Wow ..... the person who really did this great ART knows his God .... my friend, you really know who this GOD is. I am pleased to be in your circle of influence.
I am overwhelmed by the "Bridge" ... i wrote a new one on a similar stanza, i'm puzzled as to how big God's heart is to forgive as so many times, without finding fault.
indeed He is just, merciful and gracious. ... He goes beyond that second chance.
Keep the fire and pen burning my friend, what you have is surely from above. ...
James 1 verse 17

I think it has potential Octavious - a hymn yes or a song of praise.
The brdge is far too big for a bridge I feel. a bridge takes us from a verse to a chorus - perhaps its a middle eight (bars) - it would still be too long for that. You could start by halving the size of what you call the bridge and calling it the middle eight.

Then you could fix the chorus thus;
"He has a plan to make us cross the oceans,
To lay our feet upon the ponds, (rewrite this - its basically the same sentiment as the first line)
to fight through, and cross the mountains,
And now he's planing to take us home. ('planing' should be 'planning').

hope this is a start for you Octavious - thanks for the RR
