Moving MountainsA Poem by OctaviousJust my train of thought, not about anything in particular.
Why do I bother at all?
You see the cruelty of your life, but I am confused because nothing has changed. If you believe, you can still move that mountain, If you love, you can still see the river's blood. You need to understand the truth of life, keep from denial, Love what is life. You see, we don't drink until the devil's turned to dust, We don't laugh until our mother's in the room, we don't eat until we pray to our father we don't succeed until we accept our blessings. Have we been good to you at all? What have we done wrong, how have you been misguided into thinking this way? Learn to follow that trust. You want to be alone, you want be successful in this world, but let me tell you, as you sit in silence you deteriorate . . . sometimes quiet is violent. You need to hold our hands, in-twine you fingers with ours, Love one another, Gaze at God's stars. You see, we don't drink until the devil's turned to dust, We don't laugh until our mother's in the room, we don't eat until we pray to our father we don't succeed until we accept our blessings. If you believe, you can still move that mountain, If you love, you can still see the river's blood. If you believe, you can still move that mountain, © 2015 OctaviousAuthor's Note
