The Mind

The Mind

A Poem by Octavious
"

This is a poem that has no story, it is broad allowing everyone to connect with it in their own way.

"
I've pondered of something great,
the ideas will come,
and then escape.
The pressure of greatness,
The odd destination,
I have yet to know what to do today.

My life flashing before my eyes,
The future comes,
and the present lies.
I can't do it,
I don't know how,
so I build a wall to separate me from the now.

I've pondered of something great,
for that I question my mental state.
My thoughts beyond me,
My fears deceiving,
what am I meant to do today?

Hard to know our purpose and reasons. Life can be trickery. We must test life and chance. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry. I like poetry that make us think.

I have lots of days like this when I have no clue as to what I should do. I believe you have achieved what you set out to do and that is to encourage each reader to reflect on the 'to do' lists of their on daily lives. And it is true that if we do not know what it is we should be doing then we can't know how it is to be done. A nice write.

Thank you so much, and I am glad that you agree with it :)
I know the feeling when you mind is trying to tell you something great, yet you can't wrap your little finger around it. It happens to me all the time. "I've pondered of something great,
the ideas will come,
and then escape.
The pressure of greatness,..."
It feels great to read a poem I can relate to.
