THE SKY IS OUR LIMIT

The realization of life's limits.

I laid spreed out over the green grass,
The crisp blue sky was my roof top,
the sky was my limit of possibilities,
the sky was how high I could go,
I laid still for hours,
thinking of the impossible being accomplishments because the sky was my limit.
With hope and inspiration I thought,
I have a hand, and a pencil,
my thoughts are important,
I don't have to be a simple writer,
I can be an inspiration.
I thought, I have a voice - 
I don't have to be a singer, I can be the president. 
I thought, I have two legs,
I don't have to be a runner in the streets, I can be an Olympian.
Why?
Because the sky is my limit.
The sky isn't just my limit, 
the sky is the limit that we all live underneath,
yet you all don't know it.
I stood up to speak out to you all and screamed out.
"The sky is our limit, together we can conquer the impossible!"
We have been blinded by the gates that stand in our way from reaching the highest peaks of the sky,
I say we have nothing but the sky as our limit,
you all say 
"No one can jump high enough to reach the top of our limits" 
I say the impossible can be conquered
you all say 
"No one can conquer the impossible, that it why it is the impossible"
Listen to me when I say, 
The sky is our limit,
we can conquer all,
no where in my words have I ever said that it would be easy.
A dream is different from reality,
A dream is only the beginning of your first step,
You must work to go to the highest of your limits -
You need to be strong
The sky is your limit!
The sky is the limit!
The sky is our limit!
I walk down the path with you all to my back, 
fading away to the next step of my journey,
climbing the stairs to the sky, where the impossible is waiting to be defeated.
It is your choice if you choose to join me in the climb to the sky.
