Love, thank you for everything

for loving me despite my flaws and shortcoming

You showed me the light and how to love right

Now that I have you I'll never let you out of my sight

How? How did this love even began?

You an applicant so small and frail, I wasn't a fan

From there you went on straight to where I stood

You piqued my interest and it was good.

I made you my buddy

the aim was to help you grow, survive and study

but as time passed by I got to know you

and just like that, I fell in love out of the blue

Those ticklers and notes were my prized possession

Reading your replies and stories became an obsession

Loving you from a distance was all I could do

But never think my love for you was not true

Our meetings and conversation was always quick

but nevertheless it was the best and that did the trick

To confess my love to you and hope you accept it

It was not easy and I almost backed out, I admit

But you said yes! you allowed me to enter your heart

From there it was the start

All my efforts to impress both you and your parent

that my love was true, pure and transparent.

I know I suck at writing but this was your request

Hoping this poem was good enough and you were impressed

I' love you till the day I lay,
