Love is a Messiah

Love is a Messiah

A Poem by The Lovely Sound Of Crashing

Your love is like the moon,
Glorious light in the darkness.
A safety in an unsure world,
Where everything else is an unanswered question.
You are:
My solution,
My absolution,
A path to resolution!
Deeper than poetry,
Will you be my beloved analogy?

We'll let it begin,
And you can be sure:
That I'll stay your protagonist till the end.
No, darling, I won't hide,
And I won't leave.
We'll stay fresh, like everyday's a New Years Eve!

There's no one else,
Who can enfold me in warmth.
Your touch is unique,
One I seek for survival,
Like evolution-
You were a necessary change in my life.
Don't let me detox-
I can't get enough of you, babe.

We'll let it begin,
And you can be sure:
That I'll stay your protagonist till the end.
No, darling, I won't hide,
And I won't leave.
We'll stay fresh, like everyday's a New Years Eve!

You give me meaning.
You're my matter-
Without you, there is nothing!
Some say there isn't a heaven,
And I ain't christian...
But now that I met you,
I can say it's not a lie!

We'll let it begin,
And you can be sure:
That I'll stay your protagonist till the end.
No, darling, I won't hide,
And I won't leave.
We'll stay fresh, like everyday's a New Years Eve!

This is fantastic and I am not just saying that :P
It had flow and feeling.
I particularly like the first stanza about the moon, that really drew me in and the repeated stanza worked well too!
As Shellie said it is a unique type of love poem. The metaphors you use are different, stand out yet are still able to have all the power (if not way more) than the worn out cliches. It's a love poem without even the word love.
Well I love it ;p
well done as always,

Sounds great, is structured well and without rhyme also, which i like! I like the repeated stanza, emphatic.its not far fetched and its an opposite to most love poems....unique!
