WarA Poem by The Lovely Sound Of CrashingWar sucks.
Creativity died...
Under the sound of rifle fire and gas prices hitting the sky. Scrapped the face of imagination, cause there was no time for dreams, We had to train em to fire pistols so we could ship em over seas! They run through desert heat and wheeze, Kids who could have grew up to teach. Now they grow up to preach tales of war, While they forget their problems drinking in the bar, looking like hell! Each shot matches a shot that they took at the enemies... Really, they're killing themselves! Sip, sip... Remember flesh rips as bullets crash. So many holes and spots, you could play connect the dots... War games. Hide and seek, Can't find the sniper, Then he'll make YOUR brains leak. Remember when you were 5, asking "When are we gonna be home?" 15 years later, you're still asking... but it sounds like "When are we leaving the battle zone?" And who can answer that one? President's too busy playing golf and basking under the sun... He'll let the next schmuck handle it. He's bout to be out of office; he could really give a s**t. He's got better things to do, like perform acts which lead to financial deficit. And depression spreads like a cold to make you sick, Mothers glimpse at war flicks and picture their babies in that kind of conflict. It's a bad mix, And there seems to be no fix, Blocked light, just like a solar eclipse. Just kids who are pawns to lunatics playing a game, Till they lose their identity and forget their real names. War of the worlds... Two different worlds on earth, Collide to show what a life is really worth. © 2008 The Lovely Sound Of CrashingReviews
