Lyrics for a song I'm recording. In production right now... just the first verse.

Here's a question:

Why haven't we learned our lessons or counted our blessings?

Everyone's stressin', second guessing.

They're just messing life up to the point of cardiac arrestin'.

Always aiming for out bestin',

Instead of questioning those in charge of the status quo.

The one's responsible for the people's woes,

The growth of ho's and druggies who chill at home smoking dro'!

When will it go or change?

When the world's finally gone insane?!

TV is societies cancer to the brain,

They might be the one's to blame.

This is what they train:

"It's okay to be a lame and never change!"

That's how they chose to engage,

Those who are pent up with rage.

Lock em in a steel cage,

Label em strange,

Inject some sanity into their motherfuckin' veins!

Not a foundation, but a house of pain!

Not a unity, but a place of dismay!

At least it seems that way...

Feeling emptiness each day!

So dark we never see the sun rays,

Only X-rays of damaged insides, no pride!

Only a living lie!

Kiss the sky goodbye,

And with both feet on the ground,

Reality taints your eyes.

When will you realize?
