It wasn't a wedding, It was a funeral!

It wasn't a wedding, It was a funeral!

A Poem by The Lovely Sound Of Crashing
"

A song about being in a relationship where you can't please the other...

"

I take my time, walking down the aisle.
Wondering, if she’ll meet me with a smile.
The crowd is stiff and silent.
Dramatized by scenes of violence.
The rings they bare, stick like thorns,
Into the heart of someone you adore.
And if the guilt isn’t what consumes me and you,
It’ll be your words that cut me in two!

And I’ll let this bleed, we set you free.
But with you gone, I’m on my knees…
But I’m still committed, still conflicted.
To all I couldn’t give to you!

We took a vow, and then we broke it.
You laid there in slits!
The way you screamed, I couldn’t take it!
I’m cozier in the straight Jacket.
The priest chanted Amen, as we sealed our fates.
So sayonara, see ya later,
I’ll meet you at the cemetery gates!

And I’ll let this bleed, we set you free.
But with you gone, I’m on my knees…
But I’m still committed, still conflicted.
To all I couldn’t give to you!

This is great. I love the sentiments expressed. And a clever title. Keep on keeping on. =) Well done.
