Save The Innocence

Save The Innocence

A Poem by The Lovely Sound Of Crashing
"

Why do parents treat their kids like crap? *sigh*

"

Well, well.

Aren't we the elegant one?

Aren't we so full of life and grace,

Smiles on the face,

A nice home place?

Without a trace,

Of dust or rust!

A speck of anti-trust,

Misinformation through lust!

A surplus of everything adding up,

To equal what you feel when you look at a cute pup,

Comfortable, like hugging a toy which is stuffed.

No fibs, no bluffs,

No violence or rough stuff,

No molestation through touch,

No marks from hand cuffs,

No angsty emotional cuts,

Or mother calling you a s**t!

Aren't you a lucky little one love?

I hope, for you, we never have to take back any of the above.

What! You mean that i gotta pay back all my cool toys i got as a kid, and the wonderful camping trips! :)
We see children as little adults these days rather then little children. I causes us to loose focus on just how delicate they are, and how much harm we inflict by reacting to them as we would an adult friend who pissed us off.
I agree with you!
Good write!

I agree. People tend to forget that children are just that. Children. They don't let them be that either, they don't listen to them, and they get so wrapped up in their own problems and lives that they aren't there for their children in the ways that they need them if at all. It's sad, they are the worlds future and people most likey just break their spirits before those spirits get a chance to shine.
