Instead Of Building Walls, Let's Build A Bridge

Instead Of Building Walls, Let's Build A Bridge

A Poem by The Lovely Sound Of Crashing
"

Love and peace. Yayyyy.

"

Ho!

Back again...

Haven't seen you all in a while. Let's see what I can get done...

Here we go again,

Don't slack around the Ren!

He's coming with more ability than the super friends!

Don't pretend that you didn't feel that spark of energy,

Zapped back to life as if you died in your sleep!

Now bounce with the rhythm,

Self indulge in it like you were into satanism.

Let me free you from this world's prison,

And show you a new plane of existance that was well hidden.

A higher place past your space,

Where you don't have to hate cause there ain't a top 8!

A place richer than the bank funds of Bill Gates,

And even bigger than all of his combined estates!

Welcome to a state of awareness,

Where everyone's views can be accepted without reject-

And we can learn from each other instead of disrespect.

And no one will feel neglect,

Cause we're open ears and will accept,

And broken hearts will cease to be upset,

And politics won't worry about the paycheck,

As much as they should worry about generation NEXT.

Heck,

You're probably calling it a fantasy.

But this could easily be made a reality.

Settle our differences,

Break the borders we made,

You complicated the story, keep on the same page.

The human race, rushing like rats in a cage.

Each trying to get some cheese,

But not me.

It just ain't my cup of tea.

Instead I plea,

Can we for once stop acting like parasites and fleas?

Can we just give each other somethign to believe,

Instead of telling lies, fibs, and other methods of dishonesty?

Blow the whistle for a penalty,

Your offense is offensive, switch up the melody.

Hell if I, wanted to supply more bull crap to rap,

I could just make a song about chicks that could make their butt clap,

Or how I'm "so fly in my nike hat."

But what really appeals to me,

Is the lessening or emotional injury,

For the children that's parents died in the war at 3,

So I try to take us out from the concentration camp that is society.

But the shackles are harder than I thought,

And each time I think I'm getting somewhere,

I'm caught in another box.

Navigate out if I listen to the stars,

Instead of the news where everyone seems to just keep inflicting scars.

And maybe one day we'll realize how silly it all is,

And instead of putting up walls, we'll finally build a bridge.

For some reason, I thought the title would be "Instead Of Building Walls, Let's Build Some Rabies."

I guess I was wrong. XD

That was a wonderful peice of art! Totally random yet it carried the them of "Get rid of all this unessesary bull s**t" So many issues touched all in one poem! I like it.
I agree, lets build a bridge! Better then putting up more and more walls!
Great Job!
